Rob Edwards & Vanessa Perea Band

Robert Edward (@robertedwardsmusic) and Vanessa Perea (@vanessapereavoice) have been collaborators for the past 15 years in the New York City jazz scene, since meeting as students attending New Jersey City University. They have four records as co-leaders, as well as records under their own name. Robert Edwards is award winning trombonist, and veteran on the New York scene. He holds residencies at Smalls Jazz Club, and Swing 46, where he leads his own big band featuring Vanessa Perea. Edwards is also the newest member of the legendary Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, which plays at the Village Vanguard every Monday night. Vanessa Perea has toured the world as a featured vocalist, and currently leads her trio at New York’s finest stages, such as Mezzrow and the Flatiron Room. As collaborators, they post a repertoire that ranges from Bud Powell and JJ Johnson to Antonio Carlos Jobim and Shirley Horn.
